Our mission is to unlock opportunity for talented people who have historically been overlooked in the tech industry and connect them to meaningful careers with Fortune 500 companies across Illinois.
We believe talent is everywhere, but access is not. Too many capable individuals lack the networks, resources, and pathways needed to break into technology. VTS exists to change that. We provide the training, mentorship, and social capital needed to start, pivot, or advance a career in tech—opening doors that have too often been closed.
Our goal isn’t simply to help people land their first job in tech, it’s to launch lasting careers. We focus on building the skills, confidence, and professional networks that allow our trainees to grow, lead, and thrive long after they get their foot in the door.
